This year we were able to go to Hawaii for Christmas with my family! It has become a tradition the last 4 years and I hope we can keep it going! Lucas LOVED everything about the warm weather! It was so fun to see him explore new things like ocean, pool and sand, which he was not to sure about it at first but we got him to like it by the end of our trip!

From the beginning....

We left on a 10:00 pm flight December 21st, Wednesday night to Las Vegas. It was a very challenging flight for a couple reasons.

1. Lucas was up way passed his bedtime

2. He was over stimulated with the whole traveling experience

3. They had to de-ice our plane so we were stuck on the runway for 1.5 hours before our flight even took off

4. Lucas is 16 months old and wants to be free not on my lap sitting still.

Let's just say after we arrived in Vegas I had a total anxiety attack just thinking about the next 5 hour flight with my child who won't sleep. I would have taken the next flight back to Salt Lake if my family was not there to calm me down. It's not that Lucas was bad during the flight he was busy and making noise; just being a child. In the Las Vegas Airport he fell asleep before our next flight and he was no problem at all.

Our car was packed with luggage and poor Lucas fell right asleep when we got into the car. So tired but worth it to be in HAWAII!

This was our first day in Hawaii and to kick off our trip we got nachos!!!

The first place we went to eat was Leilani's for fish taco's and hula pie

Lucas loved the pool and playing in the water. Especially with his dad who always knew how to make him laugh as you will see more pictures of him in the pool further down.

The sand was a different story of not love, but learn to like. Lucas didn't like the feel of the sand at first but we kept playing in it so he learned to like it.

Hammack was a love with Lucas, he loved to swing in it.

Lucas loved the hot tub! We would sit on the step and put Lucas in our lap so he could feel the warm water and he loved it!

My mom was so awesome, every night we played bingo which included gift cards for the prizes. I don't mean to toot my horn but, let's to say I walked away with a bunch of gift cards that included: Cafe Rio, Subway, Wendy's, Itunes and my favorite H&M! I rock at bingo!

This day it was so windy so we tried to enjoy the beach but we kept getting pelted with sand. We didn't stay very long but it was fun for a little while.

What where we doing on Christmas morning did you ask???

We were stuck in an elevator with 11 people, a baby and a stroller. The night before there was a power outage which messed up the calibration on the elevators. On Christmas morning we always go out and do a santa run to bring the Christmas spirit. Little did we know we were going to be stuck in a elevator for a hour and half. It was so scary because right after the doors closed the elevator started shaking and jumping. We all started screaming and pushing buttons, it was like Tower of Terror but not a ride. My mom's biggest fear has always been being stuck in an elevator and she started having a panic attack and crying. It was really so sad. We pushed the emergency call button and the lady on the other end answered "Aloha, how can I help you?" and all of us started screaming at once. She asked for only one of us to speak because she could not understand us. To make a long story short we had tears, fun, laughter, anger, and excitement from being rescued.

When we were finally freed we still went and did the Santa run. Lucas lead he way and was our rudolph!

Lucas was crashed out from all the fun he was having. It took us forever to wake him up from his nap so we could go eat! Poor little buddy having to much fun!

Scooters! For our Christmas gift my parents gave us a scooter ride! I missed the ride last year because Lucas was so little I didn't want to leave him so it was so fun to do it this year. Thanks mom for babysitting!

We travel to the banana Julia's World Famous Banana Brread hut to get the most delicious bread! Aaron and I got 3 loafs and ate 1 before we took off back on the road. Aaron was a little sad it was gone!

Aleisha gave us the best Christmas gift she gave us a Visa gift card to go on a date baby free. We choose to go to the Gazebo and have a delicious breakfast and go for a hike!

We opened up our presents at my parents house the Sunday before we left on our trip to Hawaii. I wish I would have taken more pictures with my camera but I guess I was distracted at how much fun Lucas was having.

Father Christmas

So my expectation of Lucas' meeting Father Christmas didn't go as planned. Lucas was a little scared to sit on his lap he cried the whole time. Father Christmas did make it special when I went to get him off his lap, Father Christmas said now have him look at me and say goodbye and Lucas waved goodbye to him. Maybe next year we'll have less tears!

What is Lucas' up to...

* He is really good at signing things to me this is what he knows: more, please, eat, drink, all done, & milk

* He loves to stand on his head

* Loves going down slides

* He can walk while holding onto 1 hand

* He has learned to go up and downstairs which helps when we go to Grandma Kim's house

* Loves watching baby Einstein (its crack for babies)

* LOVES music

* Strums his Guitar (Yes Aaron gave him one of his Guitars)

* Wears size 3 diapers

* He is wearing 18 to 24 months shirts but still fits better in 12 month pants

*Loves his walker especially taking it outside and running free. He is a true boy with scratches on his knees from falling but never cries only when its time to come inside.

* He always hands me his blankets when I come in to get him from his crib, he is such a sweetheart

* Still has 2 naps a day but sometimes 1 nap. Its kinda awkward right now trying to figure that out what he needs.

* He is exploring more and more and trying to figure things out

I don't know why but I have not had the time to blog and as soon as I sit down, I really don't want to write anything. I hate to fall behind in blogging because I don't want to forget what happened during the month. I always look back on past blogs to look up information or pull off a picture that I need. This is my attempt to update on all the things that happened last month...

What's going on in Lucas' world...

1. Clapped for the first time

2. lift up his feet so I could put on his socks.... he is so smart

3. Said goodbye to formula and hello to whole milk

4. No more baby food

11. Lucas got his first black eye when he was walking along a desk and pulled out a drawer and smacked himself in the eye.

Lucas is really growing up so fast its crazy how a few days can make him seem older and even look more like a boy and not a baby. Lucas is really the happiest little kid I know and really is so fun to watch him play. He is taking his 2 naps a day and sleeps at least 10 to 12 hours a night. He is really a good sleeper.

Aaron started his new job in July working for The Utah State Fairpark as the Marketing Director. The Fair went from September 8-18th and Aaron was working from 5:00 in the morning till 12:00 at night. It was a brutal 10 day working atmosphere but it was a fun to see Aaron in action.

Yes, Aaron got his own golf cart to run around the fairpark!

Auntie Leish came to the Fair with us a few times!

By far the coolest thing at the fair... THE BIG YELLOW SLIDE!!! I loved riding it and I even took Lucas down it a couple times! I think he liked the walk up more than the ride down.

And what would the Fair be without DEEP FIRED OREO"S... YUMMY!

Aaron was in a car wreck and our little black car was totalled. Aaron was driving home from work and a guy ran a stop sign and Aaron t-boned him. Aaron got bad whiplash so he has had a lot of neck pain but hopefully his neck will get better. We had to say goodbye to our old friend, good times and memories!

Our loss of our little black car resulted in us buying a new car a Mazda CX-9!!!

Labor Day Weekend

A much needed date night!!! Aaron and I got to see the Musical Mary Poppins at Capital Theatre and all I can say is AMAZING! We loved it and would highly recommend to go see it!

We got to eat dinner at Benihana and our Chef was awesome he made a egg that looked like a chicken and spelled out I LOVE YOU with our fried rice! We could not ask for anything more :)

Swiss Days comes but once and year....

This year my dad joined my mom and I up at Swiss days so he could eat some yummy Swiss food with us! They have huge scones that taste so delicious, even Lucas enjoyed it! My dad was so good to haul Lucas on his back while me and my mom did a little shopping. I got some great things (mostly for Lucas) up at Swiss Days!!!

This sad face was the result of 3 shots at this 1 year checkup. It was so sad to hold him down with his arms across his chest while the nurse stuck him with 3 different shots. I watch his eyes swell up with big tears and then start crying the saddest cry. Theses are the days that its hard to be a mom and watch your child go through pain.

1 Year Stats:

By the time I got home I had a sleeping baby.

Lucas' actual birthday on August 18th I got to wake up to this face happy face. I think he knew it was a special day!!!

I made him some yummy waffles with strawberries for breakfast.

Grandma & Grandpa Rennaker gave Lucas a cool activity walker.

That night we went to Tucanos the best Brazilian grill around. Aunt Aleisha came with us and got mistaken for Aaron's date, what a cute couple.

Wow! How did my little boy turn ONE? Time flies by so fast, I have absolutely loved being this little guy's mom. Kelly Anne took these amazing pictures of Lucas. She never disappoints!

Lucas had some milestones this last month

* Pulled himself up to his feet on July 19th

* First haircut on August 2nd

* Walking with a walker toy August 14th

* Finally said mama August 15th

* This last weekend Lucas constantly pulls himself up to his feet

* Going to church is hard for Lucas, all he wants to do is talk & crawl around

* He will eat just about anything you give him

* Favorite treat: Veggie Puffs made by Graduates

Lucas usually gets a cup of treats when I'm at the gym so I can workout

* He is a great sleeper 2 naps a day usually consists of 2 to 2 1/2 hours each

* Goes to bed between 8 and 9 because of the summer night

* Laughs all the time and is very interactive

* Has figured out an iPhone app game called Baby Fun

* Gets sucked in while watching Baby Einstein, it's teaching him sign language

Aaron and I agree that this has been the best year of our lives. It's the little things he does that bring us the most joy, the round smiling face that greets us when we wake him up in the morning, the excitement he gets from plucking on Dad's guitar strings, his playfulness and endless curiosity, mimicking our sounds and body gestures to see our reaction. I remember the rush of emotions I felt when I got to hold Lucas in the delivery room on August 18, 2010. One year later, it is still obvious that he is the best thing to happened to this family.

I did it, I gave Lucas his first haircut! Aaron did not want me to touch his blond curly head, he wanted it to grow but it was honestly getting a little straggly. When I was giving him a bath last night I grab my shears and cut a little off the top (with Aaron's approval of course). I think it made his curls standout more.

We went up to Spokane Washington to visit Aaron's parents in July. Lucas had not seen his grandparents since he was 3 weeks old so he was very excited!

One of the main reason we went up to Washington was to spend time with Lucas Grandparents and Great Grandparents.

There was a new splash pad/fun park right next to the Rennaker's home. Lucas had fun jumping on the tramp, going down the slide, watching the water on the splash pad and of course his favorite Swinging.

Aunt Bethany was working at the Girls Scout of America on Lake Coeur d'alene. We all went up on Friday to visit her.

What is new with Lucas...

* Its getting harder to change this man because he does not sit still on his changing table.

* His hair is getting some curl on the ends, so fun!

*Lucas is your MONKEY MAN, he constantly uses his feet to pick things up.

* Loves, Loves, Loves Music! He will start smiling when the kids in Primary start to sing.

*He has mastered crawling, he is very quick!

* Took his second plan ride to see his Grandparents and Great Grandparents in Spokane.

* Can sign milk

* Lucas can do bye bye with his hand (kinda close to the milk sign)

* He has his top 4 teeth in and 2 bottom

* Lucas can lift himself to his knee's.

* Had his first experience on Saturday at the farmers market and Loved it!

* Lucas makes a grunting and babbling noises that we think are so cute!

Green River Rafting Trip

The FUN BUS!

The Robins family headed on another adventure on July 1st (Justin's Birthday) do a river run on the Green River through Flaming Gorge. It was suppose to be a float down the river but lucky for us the water was so high and fast moving there was some pretty good rapids. The water was a cold 47 degrees but it was so fun to hit the rapids even if it took our breath away. The sun was shinning so we stayed pretty warm. Aaron got a major sunburn because I sprayed the sunscreen on him and I guess I did a crappy job. Sorry Aaron I promise to do better next time.

Saturday July 2, Melissa, Jessica, Kim, me and Aleisha ran the Dirty Girl Run at Wheeler Farm. We dressed up like Princess Pigs and had a great time in the mud. It was a 4 mile obstacle course full of mud, water, hay, fences to jump over and did I say muddy water?

At the finish line they had a soapy bath to clean us off... well kinda!

St George GIRLS trip

For my Mama's Birthday we surprised her with a trip to St George to see The Little Mermaid at Tuacahn . It was my first time away from Lucas and Aaron's first time alone with Lucas for 48 hours straight, lets just say we both did great!

10 Months oh boy!

Lucas is growing and growing these are his new things at 10 months....

*Crawling

*Shiny knobs are his favorite toy and he will crawl from anywhere to touch them

*Likes to pull movies out of the TV cupboard and make a mess

*Is is pulling himself up to his knees

*Loves swimming in our pool

*Is becoming a very good about eating

*Grandma Kim thought him to drink out of straw by putting Diet Coke in the cup and he loved it. (Mom & Dad did not approve)

*Aaron went into the room and he was kicking his mobile and thought it was fun so we moved the crib down to the lowest setting

*Loves to scream and test out how loud his voice can go

*Music makes his happy he will usually stop crying when I sing to him or play music.

* He takes 2 naps a day usually lasting 2 hours each

Lucas is officially crawling

On Thursday June 9th Lucas began crawling, well holding himself up on his hands and knees and attempting to move forward. It wasn't until after a 5 hour car ride on Sunday June 12th that he was able to crawl foward from point A to point B. We recorded him on Aaron's iPhone crawling about 5 feet and grabbing his bottle. As you can tell, I am the proud-happy mother cheering and excited for my little boy. I can't believe he growing up so fast.

Ogden 1/2 Marathon

I ran Ogden Half Marathon on May 21st and PR from last time. I ran it in 2:30 and felt really good. I was not sure how I was going to do because I didn't get a lot of long runs in before the race but I finished!!! My Uncle James and I ran the half and my mom, dad, and Uncle Scott did the full Marathon. My mom also PR her time on this Marathon and it was my Uncle Scotts 50th Marathon!!! Great Run!

We woke up Sunday morning to go down to Temple Square to meet our good friends Jeff and Christina Prince. Temple Square is so beautiful with tulips everywhere. It was fun to spend the morning with my boys and enjoy the beautiful weather.

DRIVE TO NOWHERE...

All I can say is AAAAHHHHHHH. Today has been one of those days. Let me start from the beginning. I set the alarm at 4:00 am and I hit snooze a couple of times and then I made Aaron get up and get going. I wanted to be on the road by 5:00 AM so Lucas could sleep in the car for a couple hours. Well everything went as planned: we finished loading the car, Lucas was a happy to be woken up early and we made it out the door by 5:10 AM. We were going up to Spokane to visit Aaron's Family. They had not seen him since he was 3 weeks old so we were very excited for Lucas to see his grandparents and meet his great grandparents. Little did I know what our day would have in store for us. Lucas was pretty happy and played with his toys for a bit and then fell asleep until 7:00 am and the woke up because he was hungry. I fed him a bottle while we were driving and by this time we were in Idaho close to Idaho Falls. It was raining at this point and we thought we would stop for breakfast in Idaho Falls but accidentally missed the exit so we just kept driving and thought well we will just eat at the next area. We made it all the way to Dubois, ID and by this time we hit a major snow storm. We stopped at a gas station and changed Lucas and filled up on gas and just decided since it was snowing lets keep going and try and get out of this storm. Aaron was really mad it started snowing because he hates driving in the snow and I was a little more positive and told him we just have to get to Spencer and the storm will pass, (well that what weather.com said). We get back on the freeway and the roads were just covered in snow and ice, the wind was blowing snow sideways and it was snowing like crazy. As we are driving we see a horse trailer tipped on on its side, at this point we should of just turned around but I kept thinking it would clear up. Now the roads are iced over and our car can barely make it up a hill without are tires spinning and slipping while we drove 20 mph. Our car had new tires put on this year, but they were no match for mother nature. After we got up the hill I started bawling and kept saying I'm sorry, sorry for everything. As I cried harder and I looked at Lucas thinking of all the horrible things that could go wrong and Lucas started to laugh. It was so cute it made me pull it together and stop crying. Aaron pulled off an exit right after the Montana border and we both felt it was the right thing to do is turn around. After planning the trip for months, packing all day yesterday and driving 4 1/2 hours in the car, we are just going to turn around and go home. It was so frustrating. Our other option was to drive back and go through Boise, which we should have done in the first place. We talked about all the pros and cons on taking the longer route not to mention the hours we have already traveled. We thought by taking the new route it would add an extra 9 hours we would have to get a hotel in Boise and it would cut down our weekend with the Rennakers. We decided to head back home and not chance the weather. Lets just say we rolled back into North Salt Lake at 3:10 pm, a FREAK'N TEN HOUR drive to NOWHERE. Aaron feels pretty defeated, but his Dad said "you cannot defeat nature. Nature has millions of years of practice."

Mom & Tot Swim Class

Lucas and Jake took and mom and tot swim class at the classic Bubble in Bountiful. They had so much fun going on Monday and Wednesday at 10:30 am.

We would start each swimming class singing speckled frog and the boys would sit on the side of the pool and jump in when their name was called.

What did Lucas learn?

*Float on his back

*Float on his tummy's (with mom's help of course)

*To be comfortable in the water

*Lucas loved to kick his legs in the water

*He loved to Splash the water and get wet

*His favorite part of the class is when his swim instructor gave him a toy that would float and I would throw it and he would love to swim and pick it up.

*His reward was a warm shower after his swim class and he Loved it

The last day of Swim class the boys were all tuckered out

My Birthday weekend started out with hanging out with the girls. Lyndie was lucky enough to get tickets to see auditions to So You Think You Can Dance at the Capital. We got to see Nigel, Mary Murphy and even Cat! It started at 1:30 pm and didn't finish until 7:00 pm. We were all so hungry by the time it finished. Lucky Ashley packed corn nuts in her purse and shared them to tie us over. After we went to Olive Garden and it was so good or we were just hungry.

Saturday I went shopping with my mom and Sister. It was such a fun day with the girls. We ate lunch at Cheesecake Factory.

Oh YES we got Fried Macaroni and Cheese balls as an appetizer every calorie was worth it!!!

My mom had them even sing to me!!!!

On Sunday my parents made dinner and sang Happy Birthday to me!!!

Lucas is one happy little 5 month old we keep him on a pretty good schedule and it seems to make all of us happy. Here is what Lucas is up to these days.

* Laughing all the time, especially at Jackson

*Eating solids foods - he eats at lunch a fruit and dinner a veggie (He HATES green beans)

* He loves to stand up

* He cant sit just yet but almost there

* He is able to grab things with his hand fairly quick

* He loves to scratch things with his fingers

* Loves to be kissed on his cheeks and neck

* Lucas usually starts his day at 7:30 am

* He takes about 3 naps a day

* His bedtime is around 8:00 pm and he is sleeping through the night

Christmas in Hawaii

We were so Lucky to be able to go to Hawaii this year for Christmas! My parents surprised us with airplane tickets as our Christmas present this year. They didn't want to go without the whole family and so they made it happen and we are very grateful. We left Thursday December 16th and came home on Monday morning December 27th. My little Lucas did really well on the plane hardly fussed at all (plus I was ready with bottle, binky, toys, and his fuzzy blanket in hand) I didn't want to have a screaming baby on the plane. My butt was numb because when he fell asleep I didn't want to move to wake him up but it was so worth a numb bum to go the Hawaii!

Aaron had major problems with his mouth and was in a lot of pain right before we left. His filling fell out a couple weeks before Hawaii but we didn't have Dental insurance until the first of the year so I told him to take a man pill and just make sure to floss and keep it clean and then you can get it fix once our insurance kicks in. Well that worked up until the day before we left and he started to fell pain in his jaw and then we noticed it became infected Wednesday night. By this time it was to late to go to the Dentist and we could not change his flight. He was in so much pain so at the airport we called our Dentist office and talked with Kathy and told her the story and she was able to call in a prescription to the Maui pharmacy to tie Aaron over until we got back. So the lesson is that Aaron always needs to have Dental Insurance and to not wait if you have a trip coming up......Lesson learned.

We arrived late Thursday night just in time to get to the hotel eat dinner and fall asleep. We stayed in Kihei for 3 nights until we could check into our timeshare at the Marriott in Lahaina. Our Kihei Hotel was so awesome and fun! It was so fun exploring another part of the island.

Saturday morning we woke up at 3:30 am so that we could make it to the top of Haleakala Volcano to watch the sunrise. We loaded little Lucas up and he stayed asleep the whole drive up there. Little did we know that the it would be freezing cold. We all wore shorts and t-shirts thinking "Hey, its Hawaii" and frozen. Lucky I had brought a bunch of blankets for Lucas so we all wrapped up in those. The sunrise was beautiful and I'm so glad we did it.

My dad didn't arrive in Hawaii until Saturday so on Sunday when we loaded up the van with all 6 of us plus a Lucas in his car seat and headed over to The Marriott. Our van was jam packed with our stuff and not to mention we had to stop at Costco to pick up food for the week and lets just say we were bulging at the seems.

Last year when Aaron and I went to Maui a few days before the family got there and we stayed at Napili Shores and discovered a hidden gem. This cute little gazebo that has the best breakfast around. This year we all went over to enjoy us some macadamia pancakes and coconut syrup. Delicious!

This crowd was always in the water playing in the ocean waves. They thought this was the best at night because you could not even see the waves coming and it would throw you to the ground.

Birth Story of Lucas

8 days overdue and anxiously awaiting our son’s arrival. Our little boy was way to comfortable inside my tummy he didn’t want to come out without a little help. I was scheduled to be endued on Wednesday August 18^th and Dr Lloyd gave me the first appointment at 5:00 am which I was happy to take. Dr Lloyd has been in our family for years he actually delivered me 27 years ago and now he was delivering my first child.

5:00 am could not come soon enough. I woke up at 1:00 am and tried to go back to sleep but I could not stop thinking about our exciting day, the unknown. As Aaron and I drove to the hospital we kept mostly quite with a smile on our face knowing that we were going to be parents before the day would end. We looked at each other and it felt surreal. We arrived at Intermountain Medical Hospital at checked in and they took us to our room, it was really big and nice. I got into my hospital gown and they hooked me up to the monitors. My mom shortly arrived at 5:30 with a red bull for her and Aaron. I was dilated to a 4 and 90% effaced when I got to the hospital. They started me on pitocin by 6:00 am. My nurse took really good care of me and was awesome from the start. I choose to get my epidural before they broke my water and that was around 8:00 am. I started crying when I got the epidural, I think it was because of the unknown and he told me every little thing that was going to happen while he was putting it in. For example, he said I would hear a pop and then a twitch through my leg and as I lay curled up in a ball and having contractions I started to cry. Dr Lloyd came in right after I got my epidural and broke my water. Dr Lloyd said it should take me about 6 hours before I start pushing so we all started taking bets. I said 1:30 pm, my mom thought around 2:30 pm and Aaron guessed 12:30 pm…. Yes Aaron won!

My mom and Aaron went and rented a movie in the lobby, Horton Hears a Who, which we all fell asleep while watching. It was so nice to have an epidural because I could still move my legs and feel pressure but no pain. All of a sudden around 11:30 am the nurse came in and checked me and said you are dilated to a 10 and can start pushing soon. My little sister Aleisha was at work and really wanted to be there so my mom called her and said you better come now she is going to start pushing. I started pushing right before noon and he was born at 12:39 pm He was a big boy and I have the scars to prove it. No one knew how big he was going to be until his head came out. I did get a episiotomy but and then I tore also. I had a third degree tear. It took Dr Lloyd about 25 mins to stitch me back up but I was so distracted by this amazing little guy that was on my chest. The first thing I noticed was his big beautiful mouth and his cute little nose. It was such an amazing experience to give birth I really did love it up until I started feeling the pain. They took out the epidural and put me into a wheelchair to take me up to my room and as I was sitting there I started to feel really sick, hot and then I started to feel the pain. I had drank like 6 glasses of water after I had little Lucas because I was so thirsty. All of a sudden I said I think I’m going to throw up and sure enough the nurse had a bag in front of me and I threw up all my water I just drank. Soon after that I started to get dizzy and soon passed out but the nurse hurried and put a smelling thing under my nose to bring me too. They got me up to my room and we had these nurses I like to call Twiddle Dee and Twiddle dumb. I was honestly in so much pain and I had to ask them 3 different times if I could have my pain medication. They did this welcome thing and the whole time I was thinking I just need my pain medication. Finally after another 40 mins she came back in and gave me the medicine and then she had to take me to the bathroom. Oh my gosh the pain was so intense walking into the bathroom I was crying the whole time. And then once again I passed out and the nurse had to catch me and call Aaron in there to help me. Once the pain meds kick in it was so nice and I could just enjoy the moment. Aleisha and my mom went to go pick up food for them and Aaron and while they were gone we got the cutest nurse to come and help us give Lucas his first bath. Her name was Erika and she was so nice and knew what she was doing. We requested her after that and it was so nice to have someone so knowledgeable with everything. It was such a good family moment to hold him after he was all clean and just enjoy it. Aaron is such an amazing man he was right there making sure I was okay and helping with Lucas. I cant believe you have so much love for our cute little guy and could love Aaron even more then I already do. I’m so blessed. I’m getting the hang of my little guy and healing up lets just say every day gets better and better.

I can't believe that we made it to the Jack Johnson Concert but we did and we had so much fun! Well, as much fun as a nine month pregnant women and an impatience dad could have. Aaron and I went on our first date to Jack Johnson and fell in love and now 6 years later we took our little guy to his first Jack concert and bought him his first t-shirt. Honestly, I would have rather been in labor or at home holding my little guy but he is being very stubborn about wanting to come out. I got pretty sick after the concert and thought that I might be going into labor but of course my labor pains stopped by morning.

40 WEEKS AND STILL PREGNANT

So today is the day that I officially hit 40 weeks and I'm still pregnant! I honestly thought that I would have had him by now. I was making such good progress at 37 weeks that I stressed out and got everything ready for his arrival. I got his nursery finished, my bags packed for the hospital, cleaned the house, etc. Now 3 weeks later I have started my maternity leave and cant believe I'm still pregnant. I have tried every myth in the book and nothing has worked to get him to come out. I go walking everyday, I have eaten spicy food, I even jumped on my parents tramp on Sunday but here I am still pregnant and so uncomfortable. Lets just say the bathtub has been my best friend with my aching body.

I have been trying to keep myself occupied with things to keep my mind off why Lucas wont join us. Yesterday I went downtown to Aaron's office to meet him for lunch and to see where he works. It was fun seeing him in action and meeting his coworkers. We walked over to this little eatery and ate lunch. Its so fun to have him work downtown. Afterwords, I went and walked around Pier One and Target to keep up my exercise and found lamps for our bedroom and a cute pillow to match. It's probably not a good thing that I have more free time because I'm not a person who just sits I have to be consistently staying busy and lets just say I can only clean my house so many times. Anyway, hopefully the next post I do will be welcoming my cute little man into this world. Aaron and I are so excited to meet him!

My Parents bought us this awesome running stroller for baby Lucas. I'm so excited to use it I almost put Jackson in it and took it for a spin yesterday but Aaron put a stop to that! Now all it needs is spikes on the front of the stroller so no one will get in my way... haha!

My mom and I went for a bike ride on Legacy Trail this week. I love staying active with my mom she is a great motivator.

Last Wednesday I worked 2 jobs from 6:00 am to 8:30 pm and my feet could not handle the task. My sandals were officially embedded into my swollen feet.

This morning my family did the NSL 5k in Foxboro right by my house. Thats right this almost 8 months Pregnant women did 3 miles this morning!
