IRONMATT

My Uncle Matt did the St George IronMan last Saturday and his support team was right there with him. He did an amazing job and we are so proud of him. Matt did his IronMan in less the 14 hours and made his goal. We were right there with him the whole day starting at 3:30 am until 10:00 pm that night. It was a long and fun filled day.

This was his number they spray paint on 1090

This is their age they put on the back of all the athletes.

A pile of stuff left over from the athletes at the start line.

The Swim took place at Sand Hollow. The girls waiting for Matt to complete the 2.4 mile Swim and to start his bike ride!

These are the moments that count in life...

My ultra appointment was the most amazing thing that I have ever done. It was so amazing to see my little guy and what he does in my tummy all day. The first thing we saw was his beautiful spine like a ribbon of pearls. He kept squirming around and kept kicking me but up to that point I was not sure what I was feeling when he was kicking. So when I saw him kick and felt it I knew what it was. Our technician was really so good at showing us everything and that he was a healthy baby boy. It took her about 5 mins to let us know that he was a boy but I saw his little stuff before she told us. We had her check twice just to confirm that there was something between his legs and sure enough. After the ultra sound was done Aaron looked at me with his happy and proud eyes and I thinking he would lean down to kiss me and make it a gentle moment. No instead he high fives me and says good work babe, that’s my boy. He was so proud that we were having a boy so that he could go fishing, hunt, teach him chess oh and not to mention wrestle. He already has this little boy’s life planned out and he is still in my tummy! After we met with Dr Lloyd and our little guy measured 21 weeks instead of 20 weeks so my due date has moved up a week. Dr Lloyd asked me if this could be the first day of my last period and told him I guess I really don’t remember that well and then I turned to Aaron and said….”I promise you’re the Father” :)
We are very excited that we are having a boy and have already started his nursery and can not wait to have it all done and waiting for him. Seriously these moments in life are what count and I’m so grateful for everything in my life. I think this picture of him is so cute and I’m so proud to become a mom. I can’t wait for his arrival in August.

5 YEARS... But who is counting

Aaron gave me this little surprise for our 5 Year anniversary and boy was I surprised! I can't believe that we have been married for 5 AWESOME years. Later that night we were reflecting on the last 5 years of marriage and I asked Aaron to share one happy experience from the last 5 years that popped in his head. He said "I loved when we decided that we wanted to get a dog and that Saturday morning we stopped to look at the puppies at Bird World in North Salt Lake. We were making our way around the puppy area and saw Jackson (our dog) and at the same time we just knew that he was ours, no debating convincing required. We picked him up and got to hold him for the first time and he was so sweet and such a cuddly thing. When we set him down on the floor he started running around and sliding all over the floors. We love our little man so much." Mine was when we stayed our first night in our home (over 3 years ago). We slept on the couch because our bed was not setup yet, when I woke up the next morning I looked around and I was thought....THIS IS OURS! I am glad that we have milestones in our life that help us reflect on some good memories.
Look at us now, 5 years later preparing to welcome our first baby in August. We could not be more excited!

I love Aaron so much and love him more and more every day!

Going down memory lane... These are some pictures from our engagement photo's that we took. Crazy how much we change in 5 years... Our hair, our style, our clothes...

GIFT

My cute friend Kelly Samson gave me this beautiful expecting mothers necklace. It was kind of a funny story because I just happen to log onto her etsy website and saw this necklace and showed Aaron how cute it was. With our 5 year anniversary on the way Aaron jumped on the wagon and decided that he would order it for me. I didn’t know he had ordered it until I got this text from Kelly asking me why I was paying for the necklace that it was a gift. Me being confused text back and told her I didn’t know what she was talking about. Long story short she had mailed me the necklace as a gift and told me that I was the inspiration to this piece of Jewelry she created. I ran home at lunch and got if from my mailbox and opened it. I really got so emotional for many reasons:
1. It was so beautiful and thoughtful
2. I started to think of my little baby on the way
3. What a good friend of Kelly to think of me and to send it to me as a gift
4. I’m pregnant and emotional :)
The necklace has my little baby’s birthstone in the middle, Peridot which is a yellow green for the month of August. I put the necklace on last Tuesday and have worn it every day since. I just love it and it goes with all of my outfits.
Kelly is so amazing and talented with all of her Jewelry please take a look at her Etsy account and see all of the beautiful stuff she makes.
Sadly Aaron gift was ruined and now he has to go back to the drawing board and find another gift for me for our anniversary. I told him diamonds are a girl’s best friend!

Birthday in VEGAS!

My Birthday started out with my favorite flowers arriving to my work on Tuesday! Aaron surprised me and wrote a really cute message....

This year we found some great flights to Vegas and it happen to fall over my BIRTHDAY weekend! LUCKY ME! We also found this great deal for the NEW Planet Hollywood Towers. Our room was amazing!

We definitely ate a lot of good food the whole trip! We tried out this Hot dog place called PINKS. They said it was popular in LA and they just opened up this one in August! The hot dogs and fires were really good.

And of course we ate ice cream. Aaron favorite treat!

Aaron was so good to me on my Birthday morning he ordered me room service. I have never had room service before so I was pretty excited! My Favorite thing to eat for breakfast is hash browns and a ham and cheese omelet oh and we cant forget the Dt Coke!

Our view was so amazing so it was fun to eat in our room

For lunch we ate at the Cheesecake Factory, I have been craving these macaroni cheese balls that we got last time. They were so good!

My Cousin Kenzie and her husband Joe just happen to be going down to Vegas on the same weekend as us, so we met up a couple times. Kenzie recommend us to a Mexican restaurant called Cozymels for my Birthday dinner. It was really good food, our waiter even made fresh guacamole for our table!

I has hoping i would get to wear a sombrero hat and have them sing to me but all I got was a dessert which was just fine by me!

Aaron and I shared fajitas

On Sunday we had the perfect day! For some reason everything was just working out to our advantage. We started by Shopping down and the outlets and found some good deals, then we went and saw When in Rome which I loved it and thought was so funny! When the movie got over we ran over to the Mirage to go see the baby white tigers. I thought I remember reading the the cubs would only be there until about 3:30 pm. We ran through the Mirage lobby hurrying to the exhibit and arrived there at 3:31 pm. Aaron first words that came out of his mouth to the guy we pay to get in was.... DID WE MISS THE BABY WHITE TIGERS? He said that they would NOT be out but the adult tigers would so we went in anyways and to our surprise the baby Tigers were still out playing so we got to see them. YAH!

Seating in the movie Theatre waiting for When in Rome to start!
