Vegas Baby!

My mom and I were able to take a girls trip to Vegas to see Bette Midler in concert. My Aunt Carol came with us too. We arrived in Vegas on Friday afternoon and went to our hotel at the Monte Carlo. After we checked in we went down to Caesar and ate at the Cheesecake Factory and then went shopping at Express, MY FAVORITE! Later that night my mom and her Bonnie went to see Donnie and Marie Osmond in concert at the MGM Grand. Carol and I did not have tickets so we hit the streets of Vegas. We had a lot of fun checking out everything and having girl time. On Saturday we got up early to run the strip in Vegas, we thought if we got up early enough that we would beat the heat. Obviously it was not early enough because we could feel the heat coming off the pavement at 6:45 in the morning. It was hot! We went down the pool to try and cool off but it felt like 115 degrees, there was no hope of a cool down. It was still fun to be at the pool and to lay out in Vegas!
Saturday night was the night we saw the famous Bette Midler! I grew up loving and listening to Bette so this was amazing to see her perform on the big stage in Vegas. She put on a great show!
My mom and I had a great time on our trip and we hope that we get to keep the tradition and do a girls trip every year!

John Mayer and Colbie Caillat Concert!!!

Monday night Aaron and I saw John Mayer, Colbie Caillat and Brett Dennen at the Usana Amphitheatre. We had such a fun time and loved all the performances. John Meyer was amazing at the guitar and had such a unique voice that was so fun to listen too. I was hoping he would bring out Jennifer Aniston on stage but sadly I was disappointed.

10 Kids run the 10K

I’m so proud of my mom she has organized an amazing event that takes place Thursday at the Deseret News Race. They were featured in the Deseret News paper today on the front page of the sports section. I think it’s very amazing and an inspiring article and I wanted to share it with everyone.

We had Visitors!

Aaron’s Family came to visit us for the 4th of July weekend. We did things around Utah that we would not normally do. One thing that I have wanted to do forever was hike up Bridal Veil Falls in Provo and we made it happen with the help of people coming in from out of town. On Friday morning we met down in Provo and took the beautiful hike up to the falls. The hike was not that hard to do and I would highly recommend it if you have not done it before. We also went to the Church history museum and the State Capitol building on Saturday. This year Aaron and I got a season pass to Raging Waters so we convinced his family to ride the waves with us on Monday night. Brenda, Aaron’s mom was an animal on all the rides. She seriously would go on anything and was running from slide to slide. It was fun playing in the water with Aaron’s family! Raging Waters Rocks!
It was good seeing Aaron’s family for the holiday weekend!
