One year older...

Aaron and I went down to Las Vegas for my Birthday! My Birthday was on a Friday this year so we took advantage and did a weekend trip. Our departing flight was Thursday night and I wanted to arrive at the airport with enough time so that I would not be stressed and maybe eat a cinnabon while we waited. We arrived at the airport to check in our luggage and the Delta worker informed me that my license was going to expire the next day and that I could not use that form of ID on our return flight. She said that I needed another form of government ID. At this point I could picture my passport sitting on my nightstand safely at HOME. My stomached dropped and the feeling of anxiety came over me. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 5:05 pm and it was 4:05 pm. Yikes! that’s not enough time to run home our car was already parked at Diamond airport parking. 4:09 pm I called my mom and told her the story and I could start to feel the tears fill up in my eyes. She was already on the road heading towards Bountiful and knew Aleisha had a key to my house with her at Woods Cross High School. Kim the amazing mom that she is, booked it to the school got my key then went to my house, found my passport and drove it to the airport to give to me. My mom pulled up to the airport at 4:37 pm (not that I was watching the clock or anything) and handed over my passport. Aaron and I ran through the airport and made it to the gate just as they were about to close the airplane door, we made it! This was a lesson learned and I will never let that happen again.
Vegas was so much fun. There is always so much to do there and it was so nice to be away for the weekend! Aaron was amazing to me and made sure that I felt special on my birthday weekend.

Aaron took me shopping at the outlets malls in Vegas on my Birthday and surprised me by letting me pick out a Kate Spade Purse!!! This is something I have been obsessing over for along time!

Aaron had never been to the Hoover Dam so we took a trip 30 miles from Vegas to see the site. We came around a corner and saw that they were building a bridge that went over the dam. It was Amazing!
